nailing the
narrative

Planckian is a quantum-computing startup out of Pisa rethinking how superconducting qubits scale. Instead of the industry’s tangled mess of one-wire-per-qubit control, they use globally broadcast signals that let entire qubit arrays share wiring. The result: cleaner cryogenic engineering, lower noise, and an architecture built for real scale — not just lab demos.

simplified message

Planckian’s processor streamines control lines, one of the most complex bottlenecks stalling quantum supremacy.

Planckian’s quantum processor is still being designed, so we had to dive deep into the design language of quantum processors to craft a processor design that would sufficiently blend reality and art. We had to morph between traditional quantum processors today and merge it with their specific layout for their chip. We

I recreating a quantum computer

Working on this project was confounding in the best way. We had to model from scratch a quantum computer and it’s corresponding components that would allow us to communicate the features of their product.

II accurate diagrams

The specific sequence of their processor needed to be represented completely accurately in motion. Copious amounts of time were spent setting up ornate animation sequences to show their technology as accurately as possible. Not only that, we had to design and recreate a traditional quantum chip as well to make the comparison obvious.

III macro > atomic scales

The crux of the message is to show that unlike traditional quantum computers which require complex control lines for every qubit (quantum processor), Planckian allows multiple qubits to share control lines. The control lines complicate the computers at both the smallest and largest scales, so we wanted to have moments that show that as literallly as possible.

design

The intensity of reserach going into this project hit a new level for us at Machine Mythology. Between modeling quantum hardware, designing quantum processors, and imagining the massive scope of a quantum future there was alot of brainpower that was required before we even got to focus on how it looked.

testimonial

“What we realized during the course of working with you, is that we need to focus more on the “why” we are doing, instead of “what” we are doing. We were also quite impressed, honestly by the humanity & understanding you embraced.

You were able to convey in the short time frame of the video such amazing levels of detail. The team impressed by what an amazing job you’ve done.”
